Tivoli Mansion is the oldest building in Ljubljana's Tivoli Park. In the course of its centuries-long history, it changed many owners and played many different roles. It was built for the Jesuits at the beginning of the 19th century and was later owned by the Bishop of Ljubljana, the provincial estates and Emperor Franz Joseph I. The latter donated it to the Austrian Marshal Josef Radetzky, who renovated the surroundings and opened the park to the public. Since 1986, the building has been the seat of the International Centre of Graphic Arts, which, with its long tradition of organising the International Biennale of Graphic Arts and its extensive print collection, is an important centre of graphic and contemporary art.
