The disused boiler room, converted into a print studio, is located in the basement of one of the three famous Dukič blocks (1935) in the centre of Ljubljana. The three blocks, designed by the architect Jože Sivec in the spirit of early functionalism, are arranged along the edges of an island of buildings with an inner park.

Since 2019, the basement studio has been the headquarters of the art group Sreda V Sredo (Žiga Artnak, Urban Cerjak and Matic Flajs), which produces artworks, mainly intaglio prints, there every Friday.

The print workshop is not only intended for the members of the collective to practice their art but has also been a space for the exchange of ideas and artistic collaboration from its offset. SVS actively invites creatives to its premises to learn about and experience the technique of intaglio printmaking, whose timeless charm is causing a revival on the local scene.
