The Estonian printmaker Marje Üksine graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1970. She is best known for her drypoint etchings in a special style in which the shapes are formed from parallel lines. This series of works featuring young women in their everyday lives is made differently and is a playful homage to growing up from a woman’s perspective.
