Raul Meel, one of the best-known Estonian avant-garde artists, a printmaker, painter and performance artist, was under constant observation by the Soviet power. His practice is concerned with the relationship between nature, technology, poetry and art, and he is also a pioneer of concrete poetry in Estonia.
